YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer is a vacuum laboratory spray dryer. This is a new spray dryer developed by Pilotech in 2008, specifically for heat-sensitive materials. It is suitable for materials that are easily denatured, discolored and oxidized when exposed to high temperatures.

Pilotech’s vacuum spray dryer has three specifications, YC-510 Vacuum Low Temperature Lab Spray Dryer with capacity of 500ML/L, YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer with capacity of 1500ML/H and YC-3100 Pilot Vacuum Spray Dryer with capacity of 3000ML/H.

Pilotech’s vacuum spray dryer adopts a modular design, divided into two modules, the upper one is a normal spray dryer and the lower one is a vacuum module. It can be used for drying conventional materials (at high temperatures) and can also be connected to a vacuum module for drying heat-sensitive materials.

The principle of the YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer is to reduce the boiling point of water by reducing the pressure in the system, thereby achieving efficient evaporation at a temperature far lower than that required for conventional spray drying. After the raw material liquid is atomized into tiny droplets, it quickly comes into contact with low temperature in a vacuum environment, and the water evaporates quickly, ultimately obtaining fine and uniform dry particles.

Pilotech uses a combination of spray drying and vacuum drying to reduce the inlet air temperature from 150°C to about 65°C, and the outlet air temperature is as low as 45°C. It is suitable for enzyme preparations, probiotics, heat-resistant polymer materials, biological products, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

Because the YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer is a low-temperature spray dryer, it is suitable for some sticky materials. The dried materials do not stick to the wall and have a high recovery rate, up to 85%.

Advanced temperature and vacuum control systems ensure a temperature control accuracy of ±1°C during the drying process, improving product quality stability.

The YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer atomizer is a concentric atomizer. During atomization, it is ensured that there is no eccentricity that causes spraying to one side of the bottle wall. After the atomizer is installed, it can be moved up and down to facilitate the adjustment of the atomization position to improve the spray drying effect.

The YC-2000 Lab Scale Spray Dryer adopts our carefully developed noise reduction and vibration reduction system to effectively reduce the noise of the vacuum pump and air compressor.

Optional cold water circulation system can reduce the cost and consumption of water resources.
